Upgrading to FolioSpaces Premium

If you have been using FolioSpaces for a while we are sure you have realised what a great service it is. While you are welcome to keep using FolioSpaces free for as long as you like, consider some of the benefits of one of our paid services. To pay for our monthy bandwidth use and server resources, like many sites we have installed advertising on ePortfolio views. For a more professional approach, particularly when using folios for employment applications, promotion, or showcasing your business, you may prefer advertisement-free views.

Now in our third year of operation, it is time to start paying our bills. We believe that Mahara (the underlying open source software that runs FS) is now maturing and is set to become the main ePortfolio software worldwide. There are many new features, and we will continue to add more regularly.

Advantages of Premium membership Cool 

There are now major advantages to premium membership. These include the ability to create and maintain groups and forums, advertising free views, 2GB storage, choice of themes and email help. We will keep it simple and for now we are just offering two premium membership pricing options as follows -

1) Premium account - A$40 per year or $8 a month. 

 With a premium membership you get -

  • 2GB storage
  • You can create groups
  • No ads on views
  • you can choose from a range of page themes 
  • email support

There is obviously a large saving in annual membership as it is much easier for us to manage. Please select a payment option from the drop-down list below. Please choose to make either a monthly or annual subscription payment. You may cancel your subscription up to one day prior to the due billing date.

 

2) Institutional Packages

We have a range of packages suitable for institutions and businesses. Advantages include control over your administration, your own banners and institutional branding, and LDAP authentication.  We believe we are the most affordable institutional ePortfolio hosting provider in the world so please contact us to discuss your needs.

FolioSpaces office opens in U.S.

We are pleased to announce that we have appointed an American sales representative, David Agnew, based in New Jersey U.S.A. to service our increasing inquiries from North America. We will continue to provide technical support from Australia, but recognise it will be great to get full sales support during U.S.  business hours. David has over 20 years experience in software sales management, and has extensive experience working with clients in the higher education sector. 3) LEAP2A import A$25 includes a free FolioSpaces account.

Leap2A

If you have had your ePortfolio hosted by your school, college, university or other institution, you may be able to export it in a LEAP2A format when you leave. It needs admin help to import it into FolioSpaces so we need to charge a fee. If your file is less that 50MB it will automatically be imported to a free account, if it is larger you will require Premium hosting as well. Please contact us before paying for a LEAP2A import, to discuss your needs, and to receive file transfer instructions and help.

4) Beer for FolioSpaces (you choose) Any $ If you are happy with your free service but want to help us keep the servers ticking over. Smile

How do I cancel a recurring Paypal subscription payment?

Cancelling a subscription cancels all future scheduled payments of that subscription. A subscription can be cancelled up until the day of the next scheduled payment. If you cancel you will revert to a free account, but please do note you will not retain your premium features. For example groups and forums will be deactivated, and storage over 50MB will no longer be available, so it is best to make sure your site is less than 50MB at the time of  cancelling your paid subscription.

To cancel your subscription just click this button and follow the prompts. Alternatively, Log in to your PayPal account.Click the My Account tab.Click the History subtab.Click More filters, select Subscriptions and agreements and then click Subscriptions.Change the date back to the year the subscription was created, and then click Show.Click Details next to the subscription.Click Cancel Subscription.
